Pegboard Advent Calendars are a sustainable way to count down to Christmas Day. The reusable advent calendar can be enjoyed year after year to store festive treats and surprises. We're sharing our tips for a homemade advent calendar to fit perfectly onto your Block Medium Pegboard. If you have a Large Block Pegboard click here for an alternative idea for bigger treats!
Although these DIY Pegboard Advent Calendar ideas are designed to fit our Medium Pegboards, but at a squeeze they could be added to the Small Pegboard, or they could be spaced out amongst Christmas decorations on the Large Pegboard.
We loved the vintage feel of these number stamps for our homemade advent calendar, found on Hobbycraft. We've played it safe with black ink, also from Hobbycraft but colour would look great on the kraft advent calendar pouches.
The mini kraft envelopes hard to track down but we finally found on World of Envelopes - where else?! The tiny 60mm x 60mm envelopes are easy to make into hanging Advent Calendar Pockets, simply use a hole punch to... punch a hole!
Our hole punch actually makes holes that are the perfect size to hang the Pegboard Advent Calendar envelopes directly onto our 6mm Mini Pegboard Pegs. But for an extra festive touch we have added a red and white twine - thanks again to Hobbycraft! This loops easily through the holes to hang from the Mini Pegboard Pegs or from our larger Wooden Pegboard Pegs which are available in red.
But before you add the twine, you need to decide what to put into your DIY advent calendar pockets! The envelopes are quite thin so this particular advent calendar would suit chocolate coins, little notes or even seeds for a super sustainable advent calendar. We love these Seedballs!
We hope you have fun creating your DIY Pegboard Advent Calendar, there's so much more inspiration online to make your own advent calendar - we love the colours on number 7 in this pick of homemade advent calendar ideas.
